Merrick captures the texture and warmth of kookaburras. Each fine hair was individually painted, something I felt determined to do. That feeling of determination carried over into Merrick’s personality, as he focuses up toward the sky with that sharp expression that kookaburra’s do so well.

I came across Sarah's Instagram page by chance. I instantly fell in love with her artwork, especially the beautiful kookaburras! Kookaburras are special to me in a very personal way. I reached out to Sarah in the hope she would be able to paint a canvas for me. She responded quickly and was more than happy to create a piece of artwork to suit exactly what I was after.
